Job Title: CNC Machinist / Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer with a strong background in HAAS controls, CNC mills and lathes, and CAD/CAM software. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of hands-on experience in machining, programming, and part setup, with a particular focus on graphite machining and model interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC machines using SolidWorks or Mastercam.
• Operate and set up HAAS CNC mills and lathes.
• Interpret and work from 3D models and technical drawings.
• Perform manual and automated machining tasks, including graphite machining.
• Set up parts accurately and efficiently for production runs.
• Maintain high standards of precision and quality.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes.
• Ensure safe and clean working conditions.

Essential Skills

• 10 years of CNC machining and programming experience.
• Proficient with HAAS CNC controls.
• Skilled in SolidWorks and/or Mastercam.
• Strong understanding of CNC mill and lathe operations.
• Experience machining graphite materials.
• Ability to read and interpret models and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Work Environment

Work in a neat yet small machine shop during the first shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

This is a Permanent position based out of Ronkonkoma, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $87360.00/yr.
