Job Description
Produce precision components from 3D computer models and paper drawings under moderate supervision. Check work for conformity with print specifications and quality standards; and perform related duties as assigned.
Main duties:
• Adjust and edit CNC programs;
• Set up tools and load materials onto CNC machine;
• Carry out machining of components; Frequent materials machined: Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Alloys, Aluminum, Titanium, Inconel, Plastics
• Carry out inspection, including first-off inspection to the authorized level;
• Identify and report drawing errors and suggest improvements;
• Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy;
• Carry out any other duties reasonable within capability as required by the Machine Shop Supervisor.
Job Requires:
• Must use safety glasses at all times and gloves and masks as necessary.
• Must be able to work 10 hour shifts.
• A good knowledge of Shop Math.
• Must be able to work overtime.
• Must be able to communicate and work cooperatively with others.
• Lifting required up to 50 pounds at times, with frequent lifting and/or carryon of objects
weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Position requires constant standing, occasional climbing, frequent twisting and bending,
and occasional carrying of parts.
