This community affords the ultimate experience in private club community living. The Director of Security will be responsible for managing a contracted security force. Primary goals are to meet the needs of our Board of Directors and residents, preserve and enhance property values and ensure the general safety of the community.
This position is on call 24/7 and, in the event of an emergency, will provide on-site response to investigate extensive property damage or personal injury incidents.
What you'll accomplish:
Leading a staff of security personnel and ensuring adequate equipment and training
Developing training plans and ensuring the contracted security agency maintains records
Implementing and maintaining a risk management plan for the community
Ensuring that access to the community is controlled and protocols are followed
Overseeing and reporting on security checks and surveillance monitoring
Preparing and submitting a monthly security report to the Community Manager
Attending board, committee and other various meetings as necessary and providing reports as required
Assisting in preparing annual security budget
Inspecting community for maintenance issues / safety concerns
Investigating reports of violation issues and reviewing daily incident reports
Networking with neighboring communities on issues of common concern
Representing the community and CCMC in a positive way
What we're looking for: Minimum 5 years related experience and / or training
Assertive and poised disposition
Effective communication skills, equipped to deal with all levels of personnel and general public in a professional and effective manner
Must have a current Driver's License, liability insurance, and a clean driving record
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently
Comfortable working in various environments
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Ability to achieve: CPR, AED, BLS Certification, Emergency Medical Response Certification, LIDAR Certification, General Instructor Certification,
The physical requirements can vary, but generally, they may include: Mobility: Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions.
Ability to climb, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 40 pounds. May be required to lift and move injured persons and deceased wildlife. Portable highway signs, 12 volt batteries and 30 Lbs of medical equipment.
Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events.
Manual Dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices.
Driving : Ability to operate vehicle to perform certain job functions. (Please note: We will request and review an MVR at the time of hire and on a periodic basis thereafter to ensure that employees maintain a satisfactory driving status.)

If driving is, or becomes, a requirement of the role, it is required, at all times, that you hold a valid state driver's license for the class of vehicle you are driving, maintain a clean motor vehicle report, and hold current automobile insurance at statutory limits. You must notify Human Resources immediately regarding any change to your motor vehicle standing. CCMC may periodically review motor vehicle reports to ensure compliance with these requirements.
