NOTE: This is a part-time, in-person private school teaching position in Queens, NY. Classes take place in the afternoon, Mondays thru Thursdays from September 2025 - June 2026. (Schedule as per school calendar.)

Job Summary
We are seeking to expand our team of dedicated and passionate high school teachers for the coming school year to accommodate our growing academic program. Potential opportunities in several departments. The ideal candidate will be a team player and experienced in teaching any of the following subjects on the high school level:

• social studies
• ELA

Qualifications

• Experience teaching subject matter.
• Strong skills in behavior management and curriculum development.
• Bachelor's degree in subject area. Master's degree and teaching license a plus.
• (Nearly completed bachelor's degree may be considered if candidate has strong qualifications/experience.)
• A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds.

Responsibilities

• Teach and manage classes in ELA or history subject.
• Assist in curriculum development.
• Provide documentation of class progress and consistency with curriculum.
• Collaborate with administration in regards to student progress.
• Attend occasional school events, such as parent-teacher conferences.
• Grade student assignments and assessments in a timely fashion.

*Hourly rate is an estimate based on hours teaching and attending school functions associated with this role.
