Excavation Division Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Excavation Division Manager to provide leadership, estimating support, and operational oversight for underground utility projects. This role is responsible for managing schedules, budgets, crews, safety compliance, and customer relationships while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Budget forecasting and monitoring
  • Project estimating and project management
  • Build and maintain customer relationships
  • Review project proposals
  • Review plans, requirements, specifications
  • Follow and enforce all OSHA standards and company safety policies
  • Order materials and equipment for construction projects
  • Monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness
  • Liaison with inspectors regarding inspection approvals
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to Excavation Division Team
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members for future advancement
  • Attend pre-construction and pre-bid meetings as required

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in underground utility construction
  • 10 years of project management experience
  • 10 years of estimating experience
  • Strong knowledge of underground utility construction methods
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction-related software
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred
  • Team-oriented mindset with a hands-on leadership style
