We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HR Project Consultant to join the team and provide critical backup and support as we continue to focus on supporting a team while they are undergoing a Workday implementation. This role will involve maintaining consistency in normal business operations, ensuring smooth processes within the HR team, and delivering operational support to supervisors and employees. The successful candidate will engage in tasks related to data analysis, development of KPIs, process mapping, and creating SOPs/job aids to empower team members effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis : Assist in analyzing employment data, identifying trends, and performing necessary data cleanup to support ongoing project needs
  • Systems Expertise : Manage and support the existing PeopleSoft system in collaboration with the team while aiding in the transition to Workday
  • Process Mapping : Develop and document workflows to streamline HR operations and ensure alignment with county policies
  • Supervisor Support : Partner with supervisors, guiding them through operational challenges, answering triage questions, and sharing best practices
  • Engagement : Offer HR operational insights and act as a key point of contact for supervisors and team members without assuming managerial authority
  • Procedure Development : Create, update, and maintain SOPs and job aids to ensure clarity in processes for supervisors and employees
  • KPI Development : Collaborate on establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor team performance and align goals
  • Overpayment Tracking : Assist in documenting procedures for tracking and addressing overpayments to employees and ensure compliance with all policies
  • Employee Engagement : Foster a collaborative environment through team meetings and regular updates on HR practices and operations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong background in HR operations, ideally as an HR Business Partner or similar role.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft and familiarity with Workday.
  • Expertise in process mapping, data analysis, and procedure development.
  • Ability to document employment data thoroughly and implement county policies effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on employee engagement and supervisor support.
  • Knowledge of creating and maintaining KPIs to measure and drive team success.
  • A proven problem solver with strategic thinking ability
  • Initiative-driven individual with a history of navigating new challenges
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to act as a liaison between supervisors, employees, and HR responsibilities
