Job Title: Mold MakerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Mold Maker to modify existing tools and fabricate new ones. The role requires the use of machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders to diagnose issues with tools and equipment. You will be responsible for inspecting tools to identify wear and damage, performing routine maintenance, and keeping detailed records of tool usage and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Set up tools and equipment, ensuring they are calibrated and aligned within specified tolerances.
• Modify existing tools and fabricate new ones as needed.
• Utilize lathes, mills, and grinders for tool and die making.
• Diagnose and implement solutions for tool and equipment issues.
• Perform routine maintenance on tooling.
• Keep detailed records of tool usage, repairs, and maintenance.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of tooling or mold making experience.
• Experience in mold repair and mechanical work.
• Proficiency with lathes, mills, grinders, and other toolmaking equipment.
• Preferably have experience in injection molding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a plastic injection molding facility is advantageous.

Work Environment

Work in a plastic injection molding facility with approximately 400 employees. The facility is not temperature controlled, so the temperature inside is similar to the outside. This position is for the 2nd shift from 3 PM to 11:15 PM, with expected overtime, including weekends and some 12-hour shifts.

This is a Permanent position based out of Leitchfield, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
