Position Overview

We're seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team and transform our data into actionable insights that directly help our stores make more money and support every department in making better decisions. You'll focus on store-level economics, analyzing everything from menu pricing and regional variations to promotion ROI, labor optimization, and inventory efficiency. This role will not include oversight of the accounting team, allowing full dedication to data analysis and insights.

This is a full-time role (in-office preferred in northern Colorado for maximum impact; hybrid or remote considered for exceptional candidates) reporting to the CEO/leadership team. You'll collaborate closely with operations, marketing, and finance to drive measurable improvements across our franchise network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards for store-level performance tracking, including sales mix, contribution margins by item/region, labor vs. sales ratios, inventory turnover, loyalty, discounts, and promotion/campaign lift.
  • Analyze POS data (from systems such as Revel or others) to uncover insights on unit economics: Identify high-performing items, regional pricing opportunities, discount impacts, and menu optimization strategies.
  • Conduct deep dives into promotion and campaign effectiveness at the individual store level—quantify ROI, traffic drivers, and profitability impacts.
  • Support regional pricing strategies: Model price elasticity, test scenarios, benchmark competitors, and recommend adjustments for margins and discounts across markets.
  • Optimize labor and inventory: Forecast needs by location, spot inefficiencies, and provide actionable recommendations to reduce costs without impacting service.
  • Integrate data from POS systems (e.g., Revel), QuickBooks Online, Loyalty Dashboard, and other sources into Power BI for comprehensive franchisor and store-level views.
  • Partner with franchisees, operations, and marketing to translate insights into strategies that increase store profits.
  • Automate reporting processes and explore enhancements (e.g., data connectors for real-time feeds from various POS systems).
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders in clear, compelling stories.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or similar roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboard development, scheduled refreshes).
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and data manipulation.
  • Experience with POS systems (Revel strongly preferred; Toast, Square, or other QSR systems acceptable).
  • Proven track record analyzing restaurant/QSR metrics (e.g., menu mix, pricing, promotions, loyalty, labor scheduling).
  • Excellent Excel skills for ad-hoc analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in franchise/multi-unit restaurant or hospitality operations.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks Online integration with BI tools.
  • Background in revenue management, pricing analytics, or unit economics.
  • Familiarity with restaurant-specific tools (e.g., Restaurant365, MarginEdge) or franchise reporting.
