As a Software Engineer Intern, we'll support you as you tackle the hardest problems in tech today – distributed systems, real-time communication, 3D co-experience, extensive data processing, social networking, rendering, physics, over the course of 12-weeks. You Will:

• Join a supportive software engineering team and collaborate directly with top-tier engineers, receiving mentorship and guidance as you actively contribute to live projects.


• Consistently deliver strong work to production while actively engaging in the software development process, from coding to testing and deploying it to production. 


• Take full responsibility for a project and see it through from beginning to end. This includes collaborating with diverse teams and presenting your work to peers and leaders across the company.


• Work closely with a diverse range of teams, including Design, Product, Data, QA, and DevOps, to deliver cohesive products and features.


• Investigate and experiment with cutting-edge technologies, like machine learning frameworks and large language models (LLMs), to solve complex problems and improve our engineering systems.


• Actively participate in our team matching process, where you’ll have the opportunity work on innovative projects like Roblox’s search and discovery, economy ecosystem, game Engine, or infrastructure

You Are:

• Pursuing an undergraduate/graduate degree in computer science, engineering or a related field 


• Working towards proficiency or proficient in one or more programming languages such as Go, Node.js, Ruby, Python, C++, Lua, Swift, C# or Java.


• Passionate about games, user generated content, creator economies, and social networking.


• Excited about learning and crafting great experiences as you work with your team to reach collective goals.
