Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and versatile Multi-Skill Technician Assistant (Radio Programmer) to join our team. In this role, you will assist with programming and installing communication systems in emergency response, public safety, utility, and specialty vehicles, as well as perform light vehicle maintenance. This position requires hands-on technical skills, adaptability, and the ability to travel as needed. Key Responsibilities: Program and configure two-way radios and communication equipment for emergency and specialty vehicles Install wiring, cabling, and DC power systems accurately and safely Perform light vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire checks, and safety inspections Complete basic computer tasks, including Windows applications and data entry Support shipping, receiving, packaging, and inventory management Assist with facility maintenance and general technical support tasks Collaborate effectively with team members and customers to ensure quality service Work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, overtime, and travel as required Requirements: Must be able and willing to travel Must pass a background check Must have reliable transportation Hands-on experience with light vehicle maintenance (oil, tires, inspections) Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge; ability to use hand and power tools Strong reliability, punctuality, and professionalism Clean and professional appearance (role involves working directly with Public Safety, Military, and Utility customers) Willingness to learn radio programming and new applications Strong communication and teamwork abilities What We Offer: Competitive pay at $20/hr Hands-on technical experience with radio systems and vehicle support Opportunity to work with emergency, utility, and specialty vehicles Supportive, professional team environment
