Job Description
We are hiring experienced Aluminum, Structural, and Pipe welders for long term work in San Diego for several major ship repair companies.
Requirements
Structural welders will be welding 5XXX aluminum plates aboard ships and fabrication shops.
You will be welding structural parts, deck plates, bulkheads.
Must be proficient in SMAW, FCAW, GMAW-P, GTAW.
Weld tests will be 2G, 3G, 4G. Full penetration butt welds, ceramic and permanent backing.
Welders must be proficient in FCAW (flux core arc welding) and SMAW (shielded metal arc welding).
Must be experienced with welding carbon steel and mild steel with ceramic tape backing.
Qualifications
Welders must have at least 4 years of welding experience with aluminum, stainless steel, or carbon steel
Must have own hood, leathers and hand tools.
Welders must be able to read and interpret welding symbols, prints, drawings and prints.
