Job Description

Title: Scrum Master IV Location: Detroit, MI / Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) Note: This is a W2 contract role – this role is NOT open to 1099, C2C, or 3rd party candidates We are seeking a Scrum Master who will combine traditional Agile facilitation expertise with strong technical automation capabilities and analytical delivery management skills. This role will expand beyond conventional scrum mastery to encompass project analysis, process automation, and comprehensive delivery oversight across multiple parallel initiatives. Position Responsibilities: Facilitate the sizing of stories during planning sprints, backlog grooming, and sprint planning sessions for 1-2 teams Develop and maintain productive working relationships with business owners, product owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key clients Facilitate comprehensive Agile ceremonies with enhanced focus on delivery analytics and cross-team dependencies Use historical velocity and planned velocity data to assist teams with realistic commitments and delivery forecasting Utilize the team definition of done to guide sprint commitments while monitoring broader delivery impacts Analyze delivery patterns, cascade impacts, and cross-functional dependencies across multiple parallel workstreams Monitor work progression against planned trajectories, identifying when activities drift off-topic or deviate from delivery goals Maintain visibility and coordination across numerous parallel tasks and activities, providing comprehensive status updates to stakeholders Develop and maintain advanced reporting dashboards that provide insights into delivery health, team performance, and project risk indicators Effectively utilize progress indicators including burn-down/burn-up charts, velocity trends, and custom delivery analytics Design and implement Python-based automation solutions to streamline business processes and eliminate manual inefficiencies Create and maintain Microsoft Power Automate workflows to connect systems, automate routine tasks, and improve operational efficiency Leverage SQL skills to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources to support decision-making and automated reporting Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement automated solutions that reduce manual effort and increase accuracy Collaborate with business teams to integrate automation solutions into existing processes and workflows Use collaborative engagement techniques enhanced by data-driven insights Effectively facilitate retrospectives with focus on both process improvement and automation opportunities Look for opportunities to teach and mentor teams on both Agile practices and automation capabilities Participate in setting best practices for delivery management and process automation Generate communication, process, and educational plans for change management, incorporating automated notification systems Position Qualifications: 3+ years of Scrum experience, including experience in project analysis and delivery management Demonstrated experience “wearing multiple hats”, and engaging end users, shaping solutions and driving execution (Scrum) Proficiency in Python for business process automation and data analysis Experience with Microsoft Power Automate, including workflow design and integration Strong SQL skills for data extraction, analysis, and reporting, and experience with PowerBI, Tableau, or a similar tool for creating delivery dashboards Expertise with Jira, Azure DevOps, or a similar agile project management platform Experience with process / business automation Ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders Demonstrated ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams and provide comprehensive status reporting Strong stakeholder management and communication skills A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or other relevant field Note: This is a W2 contract role – this role is NOT open to 1099, C2C, or 3rd party candidates
